The
Air & Waste Management Association will be holding its Annual
International Conference and Exhibition at Cobo Center from June 16 to
June 19, 2009. The Air & Waste Management
Association's
Annual Conference & Exhibition is the preeminent event for
environmental professionals with the strongest technical program and
most up-to-date information available anywhere.
This annual event was last held in Detroit in 1985. The Air & Waste Management Association Conference in Detroit in 2009 comes on the heels of the renowned Brownfields Conference held in Detroit May 2008. The Air & Waste Management Association provides a neutral forum for discussion and takes no official positions on issues, legislation, or proposed solutions; it can offer professionals a variety of environmental perspectives. The Conference includes technical sessions that will be held at Cobo Center and that will cover the gamut of environmental topics from the mundane, although important, such as developing improved emission inventories to controversial topics like greenhouse gas emissions, theories on global warming, and Great Lakes water diversion. Cobo Center will also house the Conference Exhibition where businesses and governments will provide information about themselves and their services. The Marriott at the Renaissance Center is the Conference hotel. |
