Scholarships Available - Application Deadline is March 30, 2019

\ The East Michigan Chapter, A&WMA, is pleased to announce a $2,250 Scholarship to be awarded to students studying for an environmental career. The scholarship awarded is the Paul R. Shutt Memorial Scholarship in honor Mr. Shutt, a former Chapter Chair.

We look forward to receiving your application.  The application process is online.   Complete instructions with eligibility criteria, application process description, judging process, and our privacy policy are available here for review and distribution.  

The steps to apply
for a scholarship are:
  1. The required information of name, address, and phone numbers is used to establish an online account that will allow you to upload application documents as you get them ready.  When the required information is filled in, press the Start Application button. 

  2. Load documents:
    • Go to the Submit Documents function located below the Application Summary section of the scholarship application web page.
    • Select the Browse button to locate a document you want to load.
    • Find the appropriate Document Type (resume, transcript, etc.) in the pull-down list .
    • Press the Send File button and wait for the Document Status area to be updated.
    • The Eligibility Verification Statement template is here.

  3. You can return to the website as often as you like to load or revise documents.  To return, 
    • Go to http://emawma.org, click the Login area on the upper left corner of the webpage for the login prompt. 
    • Use the email address and password you established in the step 1.
    • Click the Scholarship Application link on the left of the main page. 
    • You should see the status of your application, documents currently submitted, and an area to load new or replacement documents.

  4. Arrange for the Faculty Letter of Recommendation to be sent as described in the complete instruction document.

  5. Once you load your documents and we load the Letter of Recommendation, review process dates will change as review actions are completed.
